Get involved to make several styles of paper lanterns using new and recycled materials. All skill levels are welcome. The three basic forms will be a cardboard construction to which paper is applied, a folded paper lantern which is stapled or glued and a paper-mâché lantern which uses layers of tissue paper applied over a balloon.  Lanterns can be lit in a number of ways including battery powered string lights, Glow sticks, etc. Participants are asked to provide their own lighting, and bring some extra to share. Some materials will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring some materials from home also.
