Little Angels Costuming Workshops

Sundays 1-4 pm, Beginning October 4th thru November 1st
Wednesdays 6-9 pm, Beginning October 7th thru 28th.

Volunteers are needed to help with preparations for The Procession of Little Angels, the All Souls Procession Weekend children’s festival exploring themes of mortality, ancestry and the celebration of Life.

Activity will include cutting and whitewashing cardboard wings and preparing various other props that kids will creatively personalize and use on the day of the event. Ideas for new projects and better efficiency are encouraged. Come co-create this all-inclusive community event for families with us!

No experience of any kind is necessary, and you do not need to be skilled in any particular kind of craft. We are seeking people of all ages and varieties who merely share an interest in community building, teamwork, and children’s life enrichment.

CALL FOR SEWERS / SEAMSTRESSES

In addition, we are still seeking assistance from people with sewing skills and machines who want to participate in the upcoming children’s Costuming Workshops throughout the month of October. If you know anyone who may be interested, please pass this information on to them.

We are also looking for face painters who are willing to volunteer their time and use their supplies for the Procession of the Little Angels on November 7 in front of the downtown library. Painting takes place over the course of a few hours, painting children’s faces for the event. It doesn’t have to be too elaborate or fancy, just something for the kids to enjoy while they participate in the little parade scheduled around 6:00 p.m.  It’s possible to ask for a small donation to pay for supplies.
