Tucson Puppet Works hosts FREE weekly workshops on Mask and Puppet-Making in preparation for the Parade. Participants are welcome to make a mask, big-head puppet, or human-powered float. No experience is required. Wear clothes that can get dirty. Kids 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

The greater Creative Community is invited to come down and create impromptu performances in locations along the parade route. Come to the MMOS booth at this week’s 2008 “El Tour Bike, Health & Fitness Expo” at the TCC starting Weds. Nov. 19th and continuing through Friday Nov. 21st We’ll be at Booth 804 in the southwest corner of the Convention floor. Then, look for the booth all day long at the El Tour start/finish outside on Saturday Nov. 22nd while the 26th El Tour de Tucson is in progress and during the finale festivities. See you there!

This year MMOS is introducing Flash Mobs to be implemented throughout the Procession Route. For those who don’t know, a Flash Mob “is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual action for a brief time, then quickly disperse.” (Wiki link)
