Magpie Collective creates an opportunity to celebrate our souls living and past in the form of FLIGHT, an interactive sculpture created in collaboration with Flam Chen. Hundreds of handmade paper, moth-shaped kites will be released from an enormous illuminated cocoon in the hands of the Flam Chen during the ASP Grand Finale…

Remembering Dinner is the latest project of the ASP Weekend, in which participants contribute treasured recipes from their ancestors and dear friends who have past on.

Tucson Puppet Works hosts FREE weekly workshops on Mask and Puppet-Making in preparation for the Parade. Participants are welcome to make a mask, big-head puppet, or human-powered float. No experience is required. Wear clothes that can get dirty. Kids 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Everyone is invited to join us from 1 pm to 2pm next Saturday the 23rd at Bookman’s in mid-town for a Procession of the Little Angels and Children’s Altar Project community meeting. If festal culture and children’s life enrichment are for you, then come on down and share some of your beautiful imagination and energy so that together we might create the most wondrous and moving Little Angels event we’ve ever had!

Tucson’s own Fine Stream Gamelan will be giving a concert in celebration of their 20th anniversary on Friday, May 8th at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church.

Tucson Carnaval Celebration in Armory Park, February 21, 2009. On February 21 the second annual Tucson Carnaval celebration will be held in Downtown Tucson’s Armory Park, 220 S. 5th Avenue, from 11:00am to 5:00pm.

Flam Chen creates an evening of whimsy and delight to celebrate the love of your life. Celebrate Valentines day with a treat from Many Mouths One Stomach and also help us complete our remaining financial obligation to the magnanimous All Souls Procession Weekend.

We are now at $7375 due on this year’s All Souls Procession Weekend. This number improved dramatically from the last web blast-$8500— THANK YOU SO MUCH! This year’s All Souls Procession Weekend cost a grand total of $51,000.

Many Mouths One Stomach is lending a hand to the New Years Eve festivities in Bisbee, AZ. The greater Creative Community is invited to come down and create impromptu performances in locations along the parade route. Please contact Sean Hicks for more information and how to get set up to create an installation either performance (of any kind) or sculptural.

Come participate in the All Souls Procession & meet friends, share food and help shape the future of this amazing event. We will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Sculpture Resource Center. Bring a dish to share and your fresh, constructive ideas and we will see if we can put together a new plan of action for next year’s 20th All Souls Procession on Sunday, November 8, 2009.

Come to the MMOS booth at this week’s 2008 “El Tour Bike, Health & Fitness Expo” at the TCC starting Weds. Nov. 19th and continuing through Friday Nov. 21st We’ll be at Booth 804 in the southwest corner of the Convention floor. Then, look for the booth all day long at the El Tour start/finish outside on Saturday Nov. 22nd while the 26th El Tour de Tucson is in progress and during the finale festivities. See you there!

This year MMOS is introducing Flash Mobs to be implemented throughout the Procession Route. For those who don’t know, a Flash Mob “is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual action for a brief time, then quickly disperse.” (Wiki link)

We also will be having a line-up meeting on November 3, 6:00 pm–Sculpture Resource Center. Here we will discuss where floats and bigger groups are best placed throughout the Procession line. This also includes different groups of musicians.

The Procession is on Sunday, November 9th, beginning at 5pm at University and 4th Avenue. Please read the ROUGH GUIDE to prepare for the parade.
